Kenji Kawai Signed Original Japanese Woodblock Print Description: This gorgeous piece is an original Japanese woodblock print by the artist Kenji Kawai. It is from the series "Twelve Views of Kyoto" circa 1948. This piece features the rooftops of a crowded city at twilight. Rising above the mountains in the distance is a full moon casting its light on the homes below. The cool blues and greens used in this piece add to the tranquility of the scene. The vantage point makes the viewer feel as if they are standing atop a mountain peak looking down on the homes that decorate the valley. The image measures approximately 9 ½” by 14 ½” on paper that measures approximately 10 ½” by 16.” This piece is in fine original condition (Please see photos). Thank you for viewing our auction.
