Kenzie, The Wild Goose Man, being a biography by Colin Willcock, firstpublished by Andre Deutsch in 1962. Mackenzie Thorpe was many things – a poacher, naturalist, professional wildfowler & guide to the Lincolnshire Saltings, who caught the nucleus of Peter Scott’s first wildfowl collection, when working for him before the Second World War. Willcock had known Kenzie for some time, having shot with him and this is the story of an interesting lifestyle & times, which have all but disappeared. There are 160pp text, a map & in line drawings, together with 4 plates, each showing 2 birds drawn by ‘Kenzie’. The contents are in generally good condition, with occasional marking & light spotting, and a name to the fep. The covers have a little rubbing & slight cant and the d/w has some marking, edge chipping, repaired tearing, a little loss and in a protective sleeve. 500 Combined Postage - I will combine postage on any items purchased within a 7 day period, where it is cheaper to do so.
