BOCH FRERES KERAMIS ART DECO VASE DESCRIPTION:This is a very rare and exceptional earthenware vase, made by Charles Catteau in 1931 for Boch Frères Keramis in La Louvière, Belgium. It has a beautiful decor with a stylized birds in flight in different attitudes and clouds. The vase is decorated in craquelé, crakled , and very well done. The vase was designed and developed in the ' L'Atelier de Fantasie ', the art department of the Boch Frères Manufacture. This vase has been used as a model in the book Art Deco Ceramics, Made in Belgium, Charles Catteau of Marc Pairon, page 806. This vase has also been exhibited on the exposition "Retrospective Charles Catteau" of Strépy-Thieu (B) in 2006. This beautifull craquelé vase is top Art Deco, very bright colours in a moment of time where everything else was brown or grey.
