Up for auction is a beautiful vintage porcelain figurine of the Madonna in blue robes with her hands clasped in prayer. It measures 9" high x 2-1/2" wide and approx. 3" deep and has the Vienna Keramos mark on the bottom. It is also marked Wien and Made in Austria and t is an incised number under the Keramos mark which looks like the numerals 1677. T is an E stamp and someone scribbled a date that looks like Aug 1911 but I have no idea if that is the true age of this piece. T is a small hairline crack under the Madonna's wrists and above the cuffs which is difficult to see due to its location but her hands have not broken off and this is not a glued spot. T are a few nicks - one at her finger tips (shown magnified in the close-up) which can be felt easier than seen, two in the back at the base of her robe (shown in photo 4), and a chip under her foot (shown at the right of the last photo) which can't be seen when the figure is standing. I consider these imperfections to be minor since you really have to look closely to see them at all. The figure is very beautifully painted especially the face and this would make a very nice addition to your collection. Thanks for looking.
