We have for sale here a fantastic Keswick School of Industrial Arts silver spoonMarked KESWICK and KSIA, and fully hallmarked as silver with the lion passant and for Chester, with a "U" which I believe is for 1945It measures approx 4 1/2" in length and is in very good conditionThe bowl is finely hammmered and the spoon features a double twisted stemThe finial takes a typical arts and crafts form, and is perhaps inspired by a Celtic designAll in all a lovely piece of arts and crafts silver from the Lake District, which would fit in nicely with an arts and crafts collection with pieces from Liberty, Tudric, Archibald Knox, Newlyn, A E Jones, Glasgow School, Margaret Gilmour, Iona, Alexander Ritchie, Rennie Mackintosh, William Morris, Birmingham Guild, Handicrafts, Ashbee, all the greatsStarting bid 99p.
