A unique color trial Prototype witch from the Kevin Francis Face Pot collection A piece from our archive collection that covers 25 years of special commissions by Kevin Francis from Royal Doulton, Peggy Davies, Bairstow Manor and other fine english potteries. Kevin Francis Prototype Gold Back stamp. 3" high 2" deep - Sculpted by Ray Noble This Prototype was part of the initial trials for Beth the Witch and is completely different to the production release Mottle grey body with a slight very noticeable green tinge to the normal flesh colors along with Beth holding a small red and black dotted frog. Inside Quote "Thrice to thrice and thrice to mine/and thrice again, to make up nine" Perfect condition - Red Kevin Francis Box and certificate. Face Pots were introduced in 2000 by Kevin Pearson of Kevin Francis Ceramics.In 12 years over 200 characters have been introduced across nearly 400 colorways with production ranging from 1 for prototypes to over 900 for the more popular releases.
