Up For Auction - One Complete Set of NIB Foam Helmet Pads I am selling a complete , unused foam helmet pad kit, made by Oregon Aero [Part Number 95080-644-G] still in the original packaging . This is the same gear I wore when I was in IRAQ . The system was originally designed for the U S S OC OM (Special Operations) MICH helmet, and still satisfies the original specifications while maintaining compatibility with the current PASGT , LWH ( Marine LightWeight ) and other issue kevlar helmets .
Some of the advantages include: infinitely more comfortable - they do not dig into your head like the original issue leather helmet band COOLER - vastly superior breathability over the original issue band S A F E R - shock transmission from both top and side blows is significantly reduced (I can bear witness to this life-saving effect) more stable - the helmet is far less likely to shift than with the original suspension, especially when wearing additional gear like night vision goggles (NVGs) moisture/waterproof - proprietary coating means that moisture and water will not penetrate and change the properties of the foam self-wicking - sweat is wicked away from the head to make the wearer cooler and more comfortable positively buoyant - ask your Marine why this is important gas and air permeable - keeps water out, but allows circulation of air e-a-s-y to clean - an important feature when the ambient temperature exceeds 130F Further, t is no need to modify the helmet shell to install this improved system. The kit I have for sale is 100% complete and new in the original package. The kit includes: one round crown pad four oval pads two trapezoidal pads self-adhesive hook fastener strips installation and usage instructions wipes to clean the helmet shell prior to installation This system is the must have piece of gear in IRAQ , but it is not issued by the military. This gear can only be obtained on the civilian market, and it retails for $100 . During my tour in Iraq, this was the most invaluable piece of gear I purchased for myself. For more information from the manufacturer, go to The Oregon Aero website at: /p81_2001.html#ReplacementPadsor for pricing , /Prlist14.htm
