Genuine Domincan Amber > 33 Million Years Old.......1000 Grams -.... 1000 Grams Rough Dominican Amber 5-40mm 2 Gram Upto 5 Gram Pieces Unsearched. Good sized, good quality rough chunky pieces, perfect for inclusion hunting and jewellery pieces. Photo is of the same stock being sold, there is a whole mix of sizes from 5-40mm Upto 5 Gm Pieces - This rough material has NOT been searched for fossils. Fossilized Dominican Amber, relic's from an ancient rain forest. Dominican Amber is estimated to be 20 to 33 Million years old! It comes from the mines in the mountains near Santiago where it is mined from below layers of Lignite, Dominican Amber is highly fossiliferous. Being from a ancient Tropical Rain forest, Dominican Amber contains a significantly higher variety of insect than Baltic Amber and is much rarer.
