This clock is constructed with a 1979 Kieninger weight driven movement. It runs beautifully. All parts are original, it has not been modified.

I am not sure if the wood is walnut or maple but the finish on this one is a medium toned maple like finish with a low gloss luster.

The cases were built to accomodate an inventory of West German made Kieninger weight driven movements. Some of the movements date back to the late 1970's. This particular clock has a Kieninger movement dated 1979.

THE MOVEMENTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, CLEANED, AND MONITORED FOR PROPER SERVICE. THESE CLOCKS WILL LAST A LIFE TIME!!

We do not have all the details and history of the maker of this clock. Evidently a company acquired a remaining inventory of Kieninger movements and designed cases to acccomodate these movements. When we discovered these clocks they were all stored together in an old warehouse in North Georgia.

The clock uses three chime rods with the bim-bam striking mechanism. The tone sounds like church bells it is so beautiful!!

One chime is played then the other two are played in harmony to compliment and complete the melody.

The carving on the case is extremely well done with great attention to detail.
