DESCRIPTION is another perfect wafer thin blade out of Spencer County, Indiana, found on a very early site (same site as the other stanfield I have listed), everything from quads to daltons, big sandys to doves came from that site, so it is hard to say the culture of this blade. The flaking to me suggests paleo, but early archaic had some fine flaking, too, but this is a stanfield blade, with one flute to each side of the base, killer flaking scars, nice triangular shape, and never even reaches 1/4" in thickness, it is between 3/16" & 1/4" thick. It is 3 1/8" long, I have owned these two for 7 years, always liked local relics from sites I hunt, but it is time to let them go, It is made from a beautiful piece of Indiana Hornstone. I have one other listed from the same site, found about 2 years apart, and it is of exceptional quality as well.
