Welcome to the Corgi town square! This is how I pictured the scene in creating this clock - an idyllic day with Corgi families strolling about, but then, of course, some have to be up to their usual mischief! The butt sticking out of the chimney, for instance! Or, how about those two daring each other to climb up the "Corgi Clockworks" sign? Look at them wave - "yoo-hoo! we're up !" Of course, t are three "bunny butts" hiding in the bushes . . . can you find them? The clock, proper, was poured in a mold, and when released, I cut an opening for the clockworks, and then created all the Corgi figures, trees, shrubbery, flowerpots and flowers. The two Corgis on the sign are each less than 1/2 inch. Each "bunny butt" is less than 1/4 inch wide. No molds were used in this process. The whole piece stands 5 3/4 inches tall; 3 3/4 X 6 1/2 at the base. The clockworks measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. This is one of my original, one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork, sculpted from clay, hand painted, and fired to over 2000 degrees. It is then glazed using a food-safe glaze, and fired for a second time, achieving a glossy, waterproof finish.
