King Gambrinus limited edition stein from Gerz, a German stein company. King Gambrinus opposite the handle in relief sitting on beer barrel. Hops and grains on the sides. Fine pewter lid. Although two steins are shown, to show front and side - you are bidding on one stein. Bottom has the Gerz logo in relief, plus the Limited Edition decal and numbering. A total of 5,000 were made world wide. 7 5/8" tall to the top of the thumb rest. King Gambrinus, is known as "the patron saint of beer." He has long been a universal symbol of beer and brewing. During the late nineteenth century, the image of Gambrinus was used by countless brewers to promote their products and remind consumers of the rich heritage of beer-making.
