THIS IS AN ORIGINAL AND GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC ROYAL DOCUMENT SIGNED BY KING GEORGE III OF ENGLAND AND THE LAST KING OF AMERICA. Signed "GEORGE R" the paper is dated January 3 1798. The document is 13" by 12" on vellum. Framed in museum glass and acid free matting the item measures a total of 17" by 13". It is boldly signed by George III and countersigned by William Woodman, General of Muster. An appointment paper, it promotes one '"Henry Powell Collins Gent" to Cornet and Sub Lieutenant of the King's First Regiment of Life Guards. T is some discoloration around the edges mostly from early use. And t are three old folds, again from original storage. Cream seal and blue revenue seal are intact (see photos). Some of the aging slightly effects the "G" in George. All in all this is in outstanding condition for a document that is well over 200 years old!
