TITLE : KINGSTON JOE - time is on my friend / wear and tear 7" LABEL / CAT # : BLUE BEAT / (listed in run-out as # 3563 but is actually 253 )COUNTRY / YEAR OF RELEASE : UK / 1964 DESCRIPTION : Scarce arly-'60s ska single from KINGSTON JOE . The labels have been rubbed off (both sides) as this appears to be a mis-press?? (or kept secret?). As far as I can work out (after listening to the record and checking against BLUE BEAT matrix numbers) this is a KINGSTON JOE single. I've included a soundclip of the killer B-side ska instrumental: 'wear and tear' Have a listen! ...Original UK PRESSING TRACKLISTING : side A : time is on my friend side B : wear and tear CONDITION : Vinyl : G+ (please read carefully! Both sides play through fine but have visually obvious signs of play wear and a few minor scuffs & hairlines. A-side (vocal side) has weird 'stippling' (pressing error?) it stills plays fine, but with a little noise. The B-side (inst.) has light crackle, no skips - check out the soundclip provided. + wear to label with titles rubbed off! - see scan image) In plain ring sleeve : Check out my other listings.
