This wonderful sterling silver was made by S. Kirk & Son starting in 1828. It is hammered repousse silver flatware aptly named Repousse. S Kirk started in 1915 and introduced this pattern in 1928. Repousse is still being made today. From the family history, this matched set was purchased around the 1920s. This means that the silver is heavier and the details more distinct, more handwork went into the manufacture of these lovely heirloom pieces. Each place setting consists of: 1 dinner fork, 7 7/8" 1 dinner knife with bolster 9 3/4" 1 teaspoon 5 7/8" 1 salad fork 6 1/4" 1 cream soup spoon 6 1/8" $299 for one place setting of 5 heirloom pieces in excellent condition this is a bargain.
