WELCOME TO WONDER VALLEY ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES! I don't know w to start describing this amazing late 19th century Parian bust of Marie Antoinette, she is quite remarkable as you can see. She stands 14" tall by 7" wide. Please see photo's of all the intricate detailing, the ruffles, hair, down to the fingernails. She has the most realistic face I have ever seen, so real she looks like she is going to start talking to you at any moment.... notice the side view of the slight 'bump' in her nose line. She is holding a small bouquet of roses in her right hand. The top bust is attached to the highly detailed pedestal base with a bolt and nut. The bottom of pedestal has the mark for A.W. FR Kister Co., Scheibe - Alsback, Thuringia Germany. Between 1836 -1914 this award winning factory produced high quality porcelain figures in the Meissen style including busts, tomb ornaments, dolls & doll heads. T is also a number '9279' and '5' on the bottom, these numbers also appear on back of bust under the dress ruffle. T are a couple of issues with the bust, she is missing her pinkie on right hand, part of the bow in her hair, one side of the ribbon end of her front dress bow, end of ribbon she is holding in her left hand and 3 small flea bites at edge of dress ruffle at shoulder areas. This may sound like a lot, but none of this is hardly noticable, her bow ribbon edge that's broken is just a little shorter than the other side which is not broken, the ribbon she is holding is broke clean across close to the bottom of hand, hard to notice anything is missing. Look at the photo's and you will notice that these areas don't detract much from this piece. The glass dome and wood base came with the bust, the wood base shows wear and the old black paint is peeling, but the wood could be used as a template to make a new base. Please excuse the light glares which appear at the top of glass dome. Due to the fragile nature and size of the glass dome and bust, I may need to ship in 2 boxes unless I can find a big enough (and sturdy enough) box to fit everything with enough packing insulation between everything, so I will have to contact the winning bidder at auction close with shipping rate. Actual shipping rate, no added charges. Payment is expected within 10 days of auction close. Winning bidder may send payment through PayPal which accepts major credit cards. Money orders or personal checks also accepted. International bidders please do not use automated check-out, I will contact you with shipping rates. I only acept PayPal payments for all items won outside the U.S.A. If payment is made through PayPal, items will usually ship next day, Monday - Friday. I am not at home most weekends, but do answer all emails during the week. Check my feedback & bid with confidence! If I misrepresent an item, return it within 3 days in it's original packaging for a refund of the purchase price less shipping fee. I promptly leave feedback for buyers who leave it for me, this lets me know that you have received your item and are happy with your purchase.
