Listed is a beautiful solid sterling silver Egg in brilliant sapphire blue enamel guilloche by the London, England firm Kitney & Co. The design is from an original Faberge piece from 1896. This egg is a rare piece as Kitney & Company is no longer in operation. The egg is finished in a fabulous basket-weave enamel guilloche pattern which is stunning to behold. The piece is an expert example of true engine turning and superb hot enamel technique. The Egg is approximately 3.75" tall by 1.75" wide when sitting on its pedestal (the pedestal is approx 0.5" in height) and features the Imperial Russian Crest mounted on the top. The Egg also opens to a small enameled interior with all mountings finished in 22K gold. The Egg comes in its own gift box. The original retail price of this piece was approximately US$500. This piece is now priced to sell! Winning Bidder is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. The item will be sent via USPS Priority Mail.
