2 Burner Atmospheric Forge OK, I just lowered it far as I can possibly go, but I can't compete with cheap, Chinese import garbage, period. As I don't have a work force of essentially 3 billion slaves, and the Iron Fist of a communist regime to enforce the States "work ethic", this becomes my bottom line. You get what you pay for, but I'm not going to work 16 hours a day, use crap material, cut every corner possible and try to scrape by moving inferior products in large volume. I also don't have any plans on selling these to distributors, as I don't like the idea of someone else having their hand in the till. I try to offer the highest quality tools direct to the end user at the lowest possible prices, but I guess pretty soon, we'll all be able to go to Wal-Mart and buy our Chinese Gas Forges... These are heavy duty, professionally built Forges. These use real refractory material in the walls, door and ceiling, not insulating brick. These units have smooth, precision machined burner bells and orifices. They are designed for a lifetime of easy use. The only Forges in this class are the Forgemasters and NC Tool units, which run from $620 to $700, making these an excellent bargin. From my personal experience with the Forgemaster and NC Tool units, these Diamondback Ironworks Models get even hotter and are much easier and cheaper to maintain. At these low prices a regulator is not included. The seller can direct you to an online source for complete regulator kits for $43, the best bargin online. Exterior dimensions are 12 1/4"l x 9 1/4"w x 7 1/4"h Interior dimensions are 12 1/4"l x 7"w x 3"h The 2 end openings are 5"w x 3"h The front door opening is 8 1/2"w x 3"h Burner bells and gas orifices are precision machined for smooth airflow, eliminating the turbulence created by exposed threading found on other burners. Replaceable burner flares are 304L Stainless Steel. Forge is insulated with 2" 8lb density Ceramic Fiber (1" in front door) and coated with Colloidal Silica to harden, no ITC coatings are used in these forges, which eliminates all the chipping and peeling which ALWAYS occours with the ITC coatings, so you can spend your time forging and not repairing your insulation. The floors are common 2 1/4" x 4" x 9" Ceramic firebrick which you can purchase locally anyw that sells building supplies. The reason for using this firebrick is it's cost (usually under $2.00 per brick) and ease of replacement. If you have done any forge welding, you know how the flux will destroy the floor of a forge, well with this forge a brand new floor can be installed in minutes and for less than $6.00, instead of $50+ which other manufacturers charge for replacement floors. The front opening was just redesigned, making floor replacement nearly effortless. These Forges reach welding temprature easily and are easily adjustable by simple changes in your gas pressure. We have recently changed the gas inlet valve on the burners from the old ball style (on or off), to a new adjustable brass needle valve, giving the smith a new level of adjustability right at the Forge. These are a big improvement over the ball valves. These forges have been proving themselves in small home workshops, vocational schools and large production environments in the US, Canada and Europe for the last 3 years. They are at work in environments from the High Desert to the Northern Range of the Rocky Mountains, from the Pacific Northwest to the Great Plains and across the East Coast from Maine to Florida.
