Up for auction is a 1 5/16" Late Archaic Side-Notched point made of Knife River Flint. The reason I give it such a generalized name is that I don't know for sure what type it is. Possibly a very heavily resharpened Pelican Lake or Besant but it's real hard to tell. T is no grinding along the base but moderate grinding in the notches. T also appears to be a small tip nick but it may also be that the maker of this point couldn't get the tip any sharper than what it is now being that it is somewhat elongated as it is. T isn't a whole lot of patination to this point but what t is is somewhat noticeable on one face only covering the lower half of the point. This point is a personal find from Mountrail County, ND, on private land. It is guaranteed authentic and free of any modern alterations. Thanks for looking and good luck!
