This nostalgic shortwave radio is ready to plug and play. It covers 200 to 400 khz and 550 khz to 30 khz in 5 bands. With an antenna just ten feet long I could hear many stations. I heard Radio China, Radio Netherlands and EWTN, to name a few. All five bands are working and each control is functioning.I installed modern electrolytic capacitors for long term reliability. Tubes tested good. Resistors spot checked and found in tolerance. A full alignment was performed. This radio was made from a kit and the workmanship is good. I have test run the radio for several hours each of several days and found it a stable performer. I give this radio an 8 for overall appearance. Band selector knob and internal speaker are not original types.I will double box your radio to ensure it arrives ready to play, right out of the box.
