About patch condition:
is a general definition of the terms we use when describing scout patch condition. We endeavor to qualify the condition of all patches as well as possible. We never intentionally identify a patch as being in better condition than it is. If you believe we have accidentally misrepresented the condition of a patch, please let us know.
Mint: We only use this definition when the patch was acquired directly from the Lodge, Council, or function, and is known to have been kept in plastic since. All patches marked "mint" are in as-new condition.
Near-mint: Most of the patches we have for sale fall into this category. For the most part, these patches appear unsewn and unused. Most people would qualify the vast majority of these patches as "mint". However, since we cannot trace the history of these patches back to the original purchase, we classify them as "near mint". Some of these patches may have tape on the back from being mounted in a binder or having identification notes on the back. Some may have been sewn on and carefully removed, and it is not immediately apparent. All patches we classify as "near mint" are in very good condition, but some may not be in quite perfect condition.
Good: Patches classified as "good" are in overall good condition. No major defects can be seen, but t may be signs that the patch has been sewn on, it may be limp (washed), or may have some other noticeable but not major defect.
Fair: Most patches classified as fair will be old, hard to get, or high-valued issues. Despite obvious wear, the rarity of these patches still makes them collectible. Any patch classified as "fair" will have obvious signs of wear.
Poor: It is very rare that we will even list a patch in "poor" condition. However, sometimes very hard to find issues still have value regardless of condition. Patches in this category may have major thread breaks, be in highly used condition, have holes in the material, et cetera.
A Note to Our Customers:
We try our best to list as accurate of information as possible. However, occasionally information may accidentally be copied from another auction, an item may be misidentified , or another error may occur. While we endeavor to minimize such errors, they are inevitable when listing large quantities of different items. If you notice any discrepancies in this auction, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us ! When problems do occur, we will go out of our way to correct them. In the short time since April of 2004, we have built what started out as a way to get by until we both found jobs into a great small business with great customers. We appreciate all of our customers' business and loyalty immensely. Overall, we have been greatly impressed with the quality of people in the eBay community. You should be aware however that we are still a small, two-person, home-based business. One of us works full time at another job, while the other goes to college full time. We also do a lot of traveling, and while we do take our business on the road, this can slow our processing down a bit. We sell Scout Patches and other collectibles, not life-support devices . We typically process payments and ship items at least twice a week, and we try our best to keep on top of questions and other email. N...
