Knights Templar Presentation Medal - South Shore Commandery No. 15
Description: I believe this to be a medal presented by the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, South Shore Commandery No. 15, located in East Weymouth Massachusetts. This piece measures approximately 5" tall x 2 1/2" wide, and weighs 47.4grams (1.66oz) of 14k gold. The inscription on the back reads: PRESENTED BY SOUTH SHORE COMMANDERY TO PAST COMMANDER Em. Sir David J. Pierce 1899 - 1900 I brought this piece to a coin dealer on 2/23/08 who weighed and confirmed it to be 14k gold. He made me an offer for the piece based on it's weight and the price of gold on that day. However, I believe its historic value to be much higher and have placed it for auction. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding. Please note: - All payments by personnel checks will delay shipment by 10 days. - Shipping cost consists of USPS Priority Mail, insurance, and delivery confirmation. Thanks for looking and good luck
