A rare, knockout William de Lillo pearl necklace with a huge, freeform lucite clasp that is surrounded by rhinestones -- probably Sworovski. The double strand of creamy, lustrous pearls is 36 inches end to end, with one strand a little longer. Signed on the clasp. A very elegant, sophisticated piece in great condition. De Lillo formed his company, House of William de Lillo, with Robert Clark in 1967 and was in business for only a short time. Clark had been a designer with Tiffany and a chief designer for Mirian Haskell. The company's spectacular, high-quality jewelry was mostly done for special collections and private clients.
