CONDITION REPORT:
This auction is for "2" Original 1960's Knoll Barcelona Ottomans by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. They are optioned with Hand-Polished Steel Frames, Saddle Leather Straps, and Hand-Stitched Leather Upholstery. The color has developed a Rich Character Patina, and has faded nicely. It appears to be close to the current Spinneybeck color Petrolyph Vola (a deeper Brownish/Taupish Beige), although this IS a vintage pair, so I'm not sure of the actual color. Only 1 Strap is cracked off at one end, the others are fine. Structural Condition is EXCELLENT, t is only faint surface scratching to frames, all in all they look really good. The leather has no cuts, and all buttons are in tact, and 1 Cushion still has Original Knoll Tag stitched in, while bottom tip of leg contains "2" very tiny engraved "PP" letters. Physical Condition is pretty darn good. On a scale of 1 to 10; 10 being highest, these chairs are Structurally a 9.5, Cosmetically a 7.5. I have cleaned and conditioned the leather, and cleaned the frames. You really couldn't ask for a better platform vintage Original, for less than this amount of money.

After World War I, he began studying the skyscraper and designed two innovative steel-framed towers encased in glass. One of them was the Friedrichstrasse skyscraper, designed in 1921 for a competition.
