George Nakashima N19 Side Chair George Nakashima for Knoll N19 side chair. This 1940's design features the elegance and beautiful lines that distinguish George Nakashima's work. The Nakashima N19 chair was manufactured by Knoll from 1947-1955. This is the 'standard walnut' version (birch, natural and ebony were also available). This chair is in good overall vintage condition with general nicks and bruises to the wood that are typical of its age. NOTE: t is a separation of one of the wood seams of the chair seat that is in need of re-gluing (see photo below). This is NOT a split in the wood, as the separation is cleanly along the original wood seam that was glued during manufacture and can easily be re-glued.
