KODAK 1A Autographic Special + Rangefinder. Dates from the late 1910’s, and is fitted with one of the very earliest coupled rangefinders (after the 3A Autographic). In good working order, with light-tight bellows, working T, B, 1 – 1/300 sec VELOSTO No.1 shutter and a reasonably clear f6.3/130mm Anastigmat lens. Serial numbers: - Lens – 14230, Shutter – 91238, Body – 10550. The rangefinder works well, the brilliant viewfinder is clear, all brightwork is corrosion free and all leathers are present. However, the camera does need a little TLC. The leather covering has slightly shrunk in places and has become rubbed, there is a small chip on one of the Bakelite sidepieces, and the autographic scriber is missing. Nevertheless, this is a fascinating camera that is nearly 100 years old, and is still capable of giving good results – provided one can get hold of 116 roll film. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! NOW FOR THE BASICS....................No shipment before payment. Please check my feedback rating, and e-mail me if you have any queries. All goods are offered on a best effort basis i.e. I try at all times to give an honest description. However, please note that all my auctions involve old and/or collectable items, which do not always work as well as they did when new (a bit like the seller?).
