Kurt Adler Bradford Celestial Star Tree Topper Remake Kurt Adler Retro remake of the 1960s Bradford Disco ball star tree topper that they called The Celestial Star . How I remember this! So tacky! But so much fun! Outside edge is a gold shiny plastic star. On each side of the star was a faceted plastic clear semi-sphere and there was a bulb inside. There was a pin above the bulb, a mult-colored transparent plastic drum with a fan on top sat on top of the pin. When the bulb warmed up, the rising heat caused the fan and cylinder to spin and the reflected light was... like a disco party . Colored lights dance all over the walls, ceiling, floor... Why did they ever quit making these things? This remake works and looks like the old one but several important interior improvements. Super bright Halogen bulb, the disc is now motor driven rather than heat driven, (no waiting for it to start) the spheres have vents top and bottom to prevent the fate many old ones met of melting plastic spheres if left on too long. And the rotating drum has multi-colored star shaped openings for an even brighter more interesting light show. And the base redsigned so it can sit on the mantle or table top as well as on the tree.
