L.B.S. Co. Sheffield Art Deco Tea Service with bonus Coffee and Chocolate Pot.Hallmark - Cross, Crown and a Bell No Reserve This is a beautiful set designed by the Lawrence B. Smith Company which was founded in 1887 and located in Boston Massachusetts . L.B.S. Co was noted for their sterling and plated silverware. Lawrence B. Smith produced silver plated holders for glass serving dishes produced by Tiffany, Loetz and other quality glass manufacturers. Lawrence B. Smith went out of business around 1958. From what I could find I estimate that this set is circa 1930's. I have seen just a creamer and sugar set by L.B.S. Co. selling for $150.00 alone. This set includes the following; 1. Hexagonal tray, 13" diameter 2. Small creamer, 3 inches x 2 inches, 2 inches tall 3. Covered sugar, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2", 2 1/4" tall 4. Teapot, 5 x 4", 4 1/4" tall 5. Coffeepot, 5 1/2 x 4 1/2", 4 1/4" tall 6. Chocolate pot, 3 1/2 x 3", 8 1/2" tall 7. Monogrammed with an H T is some copper showing on the edges of some pieces w the silver has worn as well as some surface scratches which are understandable of items of this age. I have taken a series of photos from different angles to try to best show the items in as much detail as possible. This was a bit difficult to do as it was so shiny and beautiful after polishing. I kept getting a lot of glare in the photos. I will be happy to answer any questions so don't hesitate to ask. Personal Assurance I will do my best to answer email as quickly as possible. Shipping Policy We assure you that we will package items with the utmost care. We do however recommend you purchase insurance to protect yourself against damage or loss by the postal service or other shipping company. In that instance we will provide you with the necessary documentation of proof of insurance. Please remember that antiques and vintage items will show some signs of wear and are sold as-is. Please make sure to ask any and all questions prior to placing a bid as we do not offer refunds unless items are grossly misrepresented. Note: I do not believe in price gouging on the shipping costs so if an item costs me less to ship I will gladly refund the difference. If it costs me more I will absorb the difference. I find the practice of charging a low starting amount and then making up for it on shipping a reprehensible business practice!
