This is another of my Stickley furniture which has been in my family since it was purchased in the early 1900's.
This is a small drop leaf table which was manufactured by L & JG Stickley in the early 1900"s. My Mom & myself used this as a side table for a lamp. It is a signed piece & has the original finish. The size is ( when CLOSED ) 24 inches high, 12 inches across the feet, & 24 inches long. When both leaves are fully open the table is 24 1/4 inches across. The condition is good. It has lasted through the last 3 generations & a total of 6 kids, so it is not perfect. Please look at the pictures which show the following condition problems. T are stains on the table top from use. One of the feet looks to have been glued at sometime - I've had this table in my possession for 32 years so it must have been done by my Dad or Grandfather. One leg is split from the table top to the side opening - it measures about 5 inches long. T is scuffing along w the side leaves meet at the joint of the table top. Both leaves are held up by wood pieces which are screwed to the table top & the each leaf- it looks like some of the original screws have been replaced. All in all this is a sweet little table which has been used day in & day out by my family for almost 100 years. It has some problems but is still a good statement of the Arts & Crafts or Mission oak pieces which were built to last with quality of design, use of great materials & the craftsmanship we wish we could find in today's furniture. This is the original finish. Please email any questions. No international shipping on this piece.
