LOCAL PICK UP ONLY This vintage chair is in amazing condition given its age and use. There is a mark on the back where someone put a decal. There is a white line drawn on one of the slats in the back. There is wear to the wood. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition. A few markings (I’ve tried to photograph everything I could) but a pretty intact finish. The finish, I believe, is the original finish, described in the label as “imitation mahogany." Here is what I was told by the Bedford Historical Society (the BL Marble company was located in Bedford, Ohio): Your B.L.Marble chair is a Bank of England style. The Bank of England was a popular style for office furniture in the early and mid 20th century. Your particular model, #2417 1/2, was featured in the B.L. Marble catalog from 1927 through 1937. The 1934 B.L. Marble catalog describes this chair as part of their "Best Grade Bank of England Line”. This model was available in Mahogany, Walnut, Imitation Mahogany, Imitation Walnut (both stain on Birch), and Quartered Oak. THIS CHAIR IS AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.
