LOT # 245 Detailed Photos Estate Road Show L245 LOT OF THREE CLASSIC VINTAGE ESTATE NECKLACES - LOCKETS Item Description We are pleased to offer this this lot of three beautiful vintage necklaces. The piece to the far left is a silver tone photo locket with an abstract flower design on the front and on a cable chain. A classic and beautiful way to keep those you love close to your heart. The piece to the far right features a tear-shaped pewter pendent with three enamel leaves (yellow, red, and orange) and two acorns. A perfect accessory for Fall. And the necklace in the middle features an iridescent Lucite pendant with three Aurora Borealis stones. For a more tone-down look, it also features a reversible side with a simple silver tone and crystal rhinestones. Aurora Borealis is a special finish that was first applied to rhinestones and beads in the 1950s in order to make them more radiant. They were given the Aurora Borealis name after the phenomena of the Northern Lights. Aurora Borealis costume jewelry delighted the women of the 1950's, just as it does today. The lovely stones fashioned into necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pins and brooches pick up and radiate the colors of the clothes on which they were worn.
