LOT # 47 Detailed Photos Estate Road Show L47 ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY MALLORY WHEELER FIGURAL ROMAN HEAD DOOR KNOB Item Description We are pleased to offer this Antique 19th century American ornamental banded rim "Roman Head" figural doorknob made by Mallory Wheeler Co., New Haven, CT. This is a hard to find 19th century antique american "roman head" figural residential doorknob with a naturally aged surface patina. The unique banded edge doorknob is comprised of cast brass metal. The face of the knob contains an encircled soldier or warrior profile with intricately designed helmet. The surrounding border consists of a repeating floral motif with banded edge. This Antique American doorknob was likely fabricated around 1882-85. Please see our other listings for more of this incredible lifetime collection of Antique 19th Century Hardware.
