This Japanese hair pin, or kogai , is probably around 75 or so years old, and is made of lacquered wood. The maker's mark on the shaft says "Mitsuyama". This kogai is in mostly good condition. There is general wear, some bits of stuck-on paper in the center, and a few light scratches, but the only significant structural damage is a hairline fracture in the smaller piece, where the larger half enters it (shown in the last sample photo, but not very clearly). The two halves pull apart easily, but stay together snugly when set. Size: About L6 5/16" (160mm). This item is set to ship via Air Mail, and should arrive within 7-14 days after being posted.
