This beautiful desk can be described as a ladies writing desk but was actually used in a hotel lobby for guests. The top has two compartments where the hotel stationary and envelopes were kept and between these is a beautiful carving of an aladdin-type lamp and scroll work. There is a nice big center drawer that features the same scroll design around the two brass pulls. The dark finish really sets off the design and the details. There is a nice groove detail on the front edge on each side of the drawer. There is a small piece (about 1 1/2") of the original label on the bottom of the desk. The desk is in good condition with damage to the finish, specially on the top. This desk is 33 1/2" tall and 34" in length and 22" wide and it weighs 30 lbs.

We do strive to offer quality items but all antique and vintage items will have some imperfections due to age and normal use. We do try to include this in our description or the photographs. Unfortunately, we are only able to ship to the USA, it is getting very hard to ship to Canada. ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT include MasterCard, Visa and Discover through our store, as well as US money orders and Pay Pal. Payment can be made by calling the store at or . Please call with any questions or if you would like further information. We are always available to assist you in any way we can. STORE POLICY. Our goal is happy and satisfied customers. We continually try to offer items that are special and of high quality and in good, clean condition. We take great care in packing so you will receive your item in the same condition it was in when it left our store. Our policy is included with each individual item that we list. Payment is expected with 7 days. If for some reason the buyer does not complete the transaction, we do send Second Chance Offers. Failure to pay within seven days does give us the right to relist the item(s). Smaller items can be returned, with the buyer paying the shipping both ways. The larger items must be returned in the original packing and arrive in the same condition as when it left our store, with the buyer paying the shipping both ways. We strive to make the customer happy and we will work with you on an individual basis. If for some reason the item(s) is damaged in the shipping, it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping company. We will help in any way we can if damage does occur. We are always available to answer questions and provide information. We do exercise our right to cancel auctions at any time. Thank you for shopping with us.
