This blend has been produced between 1994 and 2000 and was introduced in the rapidly expanding market of China to satisfy consumer demand for top quality cognacs (at that time, this cognac was marketed 25% to 30% lower than Louis XIII de Remy Martin). L'Age d'Or de Rémy Martin contains a blend of cognacs, resulting from a careful selection and ageing of eaux-de-vie by three generations of cellarmasters. It is a Fine Champagne Cognac, meaning that the eaux-de-vie selected are coming from the two best growth areas of the Cognac region, the Grande Champagne and the Petite Champagne (the word "Champagne" defines a type of soil that is extremely chalky).
