This is a fabulous Laguiole Bee Carving Set in a natural wood box by France's Claude Dozorme. We are an Authorized Dealer of these fine instruments. This set has a full tang feature where the polished stainless steel blade extends down the entire length of the handle. It has elaborate edge detail and the full tang delivers a better strength as well as improved balance. The handle sides, in a polished acrylic, have an appearance close to the luminescence of mother of pearl.Laguiole, a small Aveyron village, lent its name to the famed curved knife with the bee motif. Master Cutler Claude Dozorme was one of the first to introduce this motif as a model for the table. Stainless steel pins and beautiful acrylic handles make this set safe for the dishwasher - but we'd still recommend hand-washing to preserve the finishes.
