As modern legend has it, Laguiole knives didn't really make it big until Parisien waiters discovered these high-quality sommeliers around the 1960's. This genuine professional waiter's knife comes complete with corkscrew, lift (a grooved spiraled corkscrew and a decapsuler, to remove bottle tops and grip the side of the wine bottle), and petite lame (the little curved knife blade used to take the foil wrapping off the top of wine bottles.) Made with natural olivewood handle and the signature Napoleonic bee at the fold. Brass bolsters. Comes in a wooded gift box. Hand crafted at the three generation forges of G. David, located near Thiers, France. It has the G. David croosbow proof on the decapsuler and well as the word LAGUIOLE.
