BEAUTIFUL LAGUNA / ACOMA ETCHED SEEDPOT Up for auction is a wonderful piece of pottery by award winning pueblo artist Arthur & Velma Lucario. This unique piece depicts an EAGLE DANCER on both sides and features design work all the way around. It is Hand-Etched in the colors of red and white and is signed on the bottom A. & V. LUCARIO, Laguna NM Arthur Lucario was thought to have been born in 1942 and was half Acoma and half Laguna. He began his career as a silversmith, but later became inspired to create pottery by his sister Sally Garcia. During his career he specialized in ceramic pottery with red or black etchings. He liked to draw his designs on greenware first before etching his pottery. His wife Velma often helped him with the pottery. SIZE: 4" HIGH by 17" AROUND AWARDS -1995 New Mexico State Fair 1st place.
