This auction is for ONE mid century square California art pottery ceramic plate, dish , shallow bowl, done by the artists Pat and Covey Stewart in Laguna Beach California - It is decorated with three nude males bathing in the ocean and is titled on the back "Bathers" - It measures roughly 9" Square and 1" Deep - The glaze is a heavy clear crackle glaze, t is a greenish grey wash over the whole plate and the figures are incised in the clay and hand colored - The naked men on this plate appear to be standing in a cave bathing - The dish is signed on the front left lower corner "Pat Stewart" the inscription on the back reads "Bathers" original - Pat and Covey Stewart - handmade ceramics Laguna Beach - The plate is in excellent condition and is perfect for display - The style of the figures and detail is great - I am selling two of these plates - THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE PLATE ONLY - Please look for the other plate in a separate auction - They both came from the same Laguna Beach Estate over looking the Pacific Ocean - Laguna Beach was, and continues to be, an amazing beautiful spot on the California coast and a wonderful artist colony - Shipping for one plate within the US will be $12 - if both plates are won by the same person t will be a combined shipping discount - Payment can be made by check, money order, or Paypal - Any questions can be sent to - Thank you for looking!
