Lake George, NY ~ Steamer Landing Scene, '07 Phostint
Color lithograph on a divided back, white border postcard is captioned, "Landing from Steamer at Sagamore, Lake George, N.Y." The picture shows a busy scene at the landing dock. The steamer "Sagamore" is just docking and people are disembarking to go to the hotel. An early auto is waiting alongside for someone and a horse-drawn wagon is pulled up for the luggage. Terrific old image. The card was manufactured by the Detroit Publishing Co. using its trademarked "Phostint" process and has that company's usual superior image and colors. The publishing no. (11226) dates the card to 1907-1908. CONDITION: Unused. Light corner wear; light margin toning. Not creased or torn.
