This lot consists of a beautiful and rare piece of French art glass by Lalique. The sand blasted block letter mark on the bottom of the tall perfume or scent bottle indicates this piece was made prior to 1945, as indicated in the premier reference book entitled Lalique by Marie-Claude Lalique. This massive perfume bottle seems to vary in color depending on the ambient lighting. In some light it seems crystal clear to a light pink. In other light it glows a red gold, especially in the elaborate stopper or finial and the massive 12 sided base. The stopper or finial is very Art Deco in style as is the entire piece. T is a small chip less than 0.25 inches across on the very top of the finial which is more easily felt than seen. The clear and frosted body of the bottle features 2 identical nude female figures with a ribbon arching over their heads and a dove in flight. The third side features a nude male figure also with a ribbon arching over his head and another dove in flight. The flaring foot of the piece provides a great deal of stability for this tall bottle. T is no other damage, no flakes, cracks, dings, grindings or repairs. This is a wonderful, old and rare perfume, a proud addition to any perfume, scent, art glass or Lalique collection. With the stopper in place, this perfume bottle stande 11.5 inches tall. The stopper is 3. read more
