I have been told that this is a cigar ashtray and one person told me she uses it for candy or nuts. The spoon fits in the indented part at the end of the fish tail. I guess you could use it for whatever you like. T is a sticker on it that says "CRISTAL, LALIQUE, PARIS. I tried to picture the engraving on the back that says "Lalique France". It is very small engraving about half way up on the fish. I am including insurance in the shipping and handling. My husband has had this packed away for about 30 years and we are downsizing so some things must go. Thanks for looking and feel free to email any questions to me.
