Here is my 1962 Land Rover Series 11a 2.25 petrol. It has 5 good BF Goodrich mud terrains with 5+mm on all tyres. It has parabolic springs, fairey overdrive and freewheeling hubs. The freewheeling hubs have been used regularly in both 2wd and 4wd mode to ensure everything is lubricated. Unfortunately it has started to burn oil when warm, I have compression tested the engine with no major pressure changes between dry and wet so indicating that it is the valve stem seals. I have the full top end OEM de coke kit which includes all of the necessary seals/gaskets that are required to replace the valve stem seals including a valve spring compressor which will be included in the sale if the buyer requests the tool. With the arrival of our baby I no longer have the time to repair the vehicle and the sale must continue to fund a second car! I have owned it for the last three years and have carried out the following work/fitted new parts: New locks on all doors, with 2 keys Choke cable Brake master cylinder All new copper and flexible brake pipes All 4 wheel cylinders replaced (the mot tester said how refreshing it was to have a land rover that actually stopped when braking!) New fuel filler pipe New headlights New wiring around engine bay New indicator, brake and sidelight units New distributor cap Repainted exterior blue/cream New black read more
