Notes: SOME SELF-PROCLAIMED "EXPERT" ON THE NORTH SHORE OF OAHU CLAIMS THIS TO BE A SUNRISE SHELL IN THE SUNDAY PAPER YEARS AGO. THE CORRECT VERNACULAR IS LANGFORD SCALLOP. ANYWAY THIS WAS A NATURAL PAIR COLLECTED ALIVE SITTING IN A OPEN RUBBLE PATCH AT 110FT ON SAND. LARGE SIZE AND STUNNING COLOR. USED IN MAKING POPULAR HAWAIIAN JEWELRY(SOME ARTIST WILL BUY WHOLE PAIRS TO ONLY USE THE HALVES). BUY-IT-NOW IS TRICKY.
