Selling this neat and scarce political lapel stud for Charles Evans Hughes, the Republican nominee in 1916. The National Alliance, a womens organization sponsored Hughes , reformer, but conservative, to be President. Hughes, a Supreme Court justice and Governor from New York, was defeated by Woodrow Wilson. Scarce badge by Bastion Bros in New York with high copper content to brass, or is made of copper.
