WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER SUCRIERE! IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And really nice and exceedingly heavy too. This is a simply awesome sugar bowl and is of quite delightful form. All in all a quite stunning large bowl. This cracking piece sits on four bracket feet. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely solid silver sucriere of excellent gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear.Fully marked to base of body. Assayed in London and dated 1839 (year letter D).Maker is very good maker of the period John James Keith. This lovely item is in itself a wonderful piece of grand silver. The diameter of the bowl is very large at 8 inches and its height 5 inches. This lovely bowl is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of table silver. It is unengraved and always has been,definitely no erasures (refer to image). Its weight is a sublime 349 grams (11.22 troy ounces) and the overall condition is very good indeed.All it needs is to be used! All in all a really good bowl by a very good silversmith. It retains its original rich gilding.
