This is a nice scrapbook with the spine separating. This is a beautiful and varied collection. Size of the album is 9 inches by 11-1/2 inches. Some of the pages are just barely hanging in but all are covered with trade cards or calling cards or picture cards with the exception of two sides which I have not counted as pages. I have only counted the cards that are not calling cards to arrive at the number of 404 cards. A few are small holiday cards. T are some interesting tobacco cards from Wilson and McCalley , Wave Line Plug Tobacco, Blackwells' Durham, Duke of Durham Tobacco; Jackson's Chewing Tobacco, Cute Cigar. One features a picture of U.S. Grant with a rhyme and when folded up turns into a picture of his Democrat opponent! Others are Home Light Oil, Dwights Baking Powder, Dixon's Stove Polish General categories include soap, tobacco, corsets, cologne, thread and local merchants in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Santa Claus with eight reindeer is on one card that is in shades of gray and tan. T are several cards for each product in most cases. The largest number per product are the sewing thread cards. I have photographed the first seventeen pages so that someone can get an overall idea of what the album is like instead of photographing the best cards. For the most part the cards are in great condition and glued very tightly to the pages.
