Offering a wonderful, early to mid 19th century, pine firkin / sugar bucket in wonderful original painted surface - "off white".The firkin has 3 single Shaker type / style, bentwood "finger" bands on the base, and a 4th one on the lid.The firkin is made of pine "staves" secured by 4 bentwood bands, and a pine top and bottom... it has a heavy bentwood oak swinging bail handle and the bands are secured with copper tacks and hand made copper "staples" securing the tips of the "fingers".DIMENSIONS - 11 3/4" high (excluding handle), 11 3/4" diameter top and a 12 1/2" diameter base - the bands measure 1 1/4" wideCONDITION - the firkin is in great condition structurally and is good and tight - it shows minor wear consistent with its age - no repairs - see pics for detailsSHIPPING - the fixed shipping includes insurance and is for the lower 48 States - Alaska and Hawaii inquire for shipping quote
