***large *20pcs lot Bradford Academy(founded in 1803) 1839-53 & lateras shown in the many photos provided. This is a great lot found in an old trunk in northern Maine last week. Early catalogues and books, from a town that merged with Haverhill Massachusetts over a century ago and an academy that was known thruout New England. Included in the lot is the following: 1839 catalogue of the "Officers and Students" of Bradford Academy, Bradford Ma, October 1839, softcover pamphlet size, 15 pages filled with every name of every student and from w they came from to attend, faculty, cost, tuition, room & board fees, etc, interesting early reading. Next the same type of catalogue for the year 1853, 20 pages with like content. Next are four yearbooks covering a period from 1902 to 1908, all softcovers, all about 50 plus pages, included in these books are individual report cards for a Miss Bertha Hammond, signed by then principle Laura Knott. Miss hammond had very good grades and deportment. Next is a hardcover with original dustjacket, titled "Bradford, a New England Academy" by Jean Sarah Pond, dated 1930, 368 pages, 2nd edition, very clean & solid. Next, 1870, "A Memorial of Bradford Academy" published in Boston by S S and publishing society, 189 clean pages, deep blue cover boards, very sound.
