You are bidding on a large vintage statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This chalkware statue was made by Columbia Statuary and is numbered "C S 113" at the base in the back. This statue measures just under 26" tall. It is one of the prettiest statues of the Blessed Mother that I have ever seen. This is an estate item and belonged to a lady of great faith. The facial features on this statue are very delicate and appear to be handpainted. This statue is in very nice condition on the front but does have some chipping and paint peeling on the back, specifically three areas: At the very top of her head, t is paint peeling at the top of her veil in the front, another area on the veil at the peak of her head in the back, and a larger area on the back of her veil in the middle back area. T is also a small area of blue paint missing from the area on the back just below the point of the veil. I have tried to take close pictures of these areas for you to be able to view. For these reasons, you will be bidding for this vintage estate statue "as is". A new statue of this size from a religious gifts store would easily cost $250-$350. It has also been my experience that the vintage statues have more detailed and delicate features, as this one does.
